We’ll continue in the our Keeping Scrapbooking Simple Series. We’ll be using the Creative Memories 52 Scrapbooking Project Recipe Book. I’ve selected several layouts that I consider “simple” — meaning easy paper cuts, straightforward photo placement, and just a few fun embellishments to finish it off, but there is always a “special technique”!

This week, I’ll be working with Recipe #52 on page 108 of the book, and I’ll show you how to use the project recipe to recreate a beautiful double-page layout! Don’t miss it!

Workshop Wednesday: Workshop Wednesday: From Water Play to Wonder — Grand Canyon Layout Transformation

This week, we’re heading back into the National Park Album — and this time, it’s all about one of the most breathtaking destinations of all: the Grand Canyon!

I’m starting with a Water Play layout design from the 52 Project Recipe Book, but giving it a bold new twist. Instead of splashes and lakes, we’re swapping in rugged tones, earthy papers, and a few smart design tweaks to make it perfect for our Grand Canyon adventure.

The best part? I’m also making a simple switch to the original layout to make it even easier to complete — while keeping it absolutely stunning. Because simple and beautiful is always the goal!

Here’s what you’ll see in this week’s project:

• How to adapt themed layouts for totally different stories

• Paper and embellishment swaps that capture the natural beauty of the canyon

• A streamlined version of the recipe that helps you finish faster

• Another two pages done in my daughter’s National Park scrapbook — and getting closer to completing Volume 1!

This layout is a great reminder that with a few creative changes, any design can fit your photos and story perfectly. So let’s grab our trimmers and keep those pages coming — one National Park at a time.
