Workshop Wednesday ~ 9/17/25
Join me on Facebook this Wednesday, September 17th, for Workshop Wednesday!
We’ll continue in the our Keeping Scrapbooking Simple Series. We’ll be using the Creative Memories 52 Scrapbooking Project Recipe Book. I’ve selected several layouts that I consider “simple” — meaning easy paper cuts, straightforward photo placement, and just a few fun embellishments to finish it off, but there is always a “special technique”!
This week, I’ll be working with Recipe #7 on page 18 of the book, and I’ll show you how to use the project recipe to recreate a beautiful double-page layout! Don’t miss it!
This week’s Workshop Wednesday is all about keeping things simple while still creating pages that tell a meaningful story. I’m using the Creative Memories 52 Project Recipe Book to put together an easy, clean 2-page layout for my son’s school album.
To give the design a fresh look, I swapped out the original papers and substituted in the Wide Open Places Paper Pack. The earthy tones and versatile patterns from this collection are perfect for highlighting everyday school memories while keeping the layout polished and stress-free.
✨ Here’s what you’ll see in this week’s project:
A quick and simple recipe layout you can recreate in no time
How to substitute paper packs to match your own project’s theme
A reminder that “done is better than perfect” when it comes to memory-keeping!
If you’re working on a school album, or if you just want a straightforward layout to help you get pages finished, this week’s Workshop Wednesday is packed with inspiration. With the 52 Project Recipe Book as a guide, and Wide Open Places adding a fresh twist, this layout is proof that scrapbooking can be both simple and stunning.
Happy scrapping,
Diane
