Workshop Wednesday ~ 8/6/25
Join me on Facebook this Wednesday, August 6th, for Workshop Wednesday!
We’ll continue in the our Keeping Scrapbooking Simple Series. We’ll be using the Creative Memories 52 Scrapbooking Project Recipe Book. I’ve selected several layouts that I consider “simple” — meaning easy paper cuts, straightforward photo placement, and just a few fun embellishments to finish it off, but there is always a “special technique”!
This week, I’ll be working with Recipe #26 on page 56 of the book, and I’ll show you how to use the project recipe to recreate a beautiful double-page layout! Don’t miss it!
This National Park Will Take Us to the City?!
Not all National Park adventures are deep in the woods or out in the desert… some take us straight into the heart of the city — and this week, we’re going there in style!
In this Workshop Wednesday, I’m creating a stunning and unexpected 2-page layout for my daughter’s National Park album using the Passport to Adventure Collection. This layout steps away from the traditional “nature” vibe and leans into the energy, architecture, and surprising beauty found in more urban park stops.
What makes this layout special:
Bold and different from the usual park-themed pages
Smart paper choices that reflect the cityscape while honoring the park experience
A layered, polished 2-page design that still feels playful and fun
If you’re working on a National Park scrapbook — or any kind of travel album — this layout is your reminder that not every page has to look the same. Some parks have skyscrapers instead of trees, and that’s part of the story, too.
Come get inspired to tell the whole journey — city stops and all!
See you there!
Happy scrapping,
Diane
