Workshop Wednesday ~ 6/11/25
Join me on Facebook this Wednesday, June 11th, for Workshop Wednesday!
We’ll continue in the our Keeping Scrapbooking Simple Series. We’ll be using the Creative Memories 52 Scrapbooking Project Recipe Book. I’ve selected several layouts that I consider “simple” — meaning easy paper cuts, straightforward photo placement, and just a few fun embellishments to finish it off, but there is always a “special technique”!
This week, I’ll be working with Recipe #20 on page 44 of the book, and I’ll show you how to use the project recipe to recreate a beautiful double-page layout! Don’t miss it!
Keeping It Simple with an Outdoor Twist!
by Diane Gutierrez Scrapbooking
Sometimes the best pages come from the simplest ideas — and that’s exactly what we’re focusing on in this week’s Workshop Wednesday! I’m using one of my favorite go-to resources, the Creative Memories 52 Project Recipe Book, and giving it a fresh spin with an awesome outdoor theme.
Whether you’re scrapbooking a family hike, camping adventure, or just some fun in the sun, this layout shows how you can start with a simple design and make it shine with the right papers and photos.
Here’s what to expect:
A step-by-step look at how I adapted the original Project Recipe
Tips for selecting papers and embellishments that bring the outdoors to life
Quick ideas for journaling your memories without overthinking it
A reminder that simple can still be stunning
If you've ever felt stuck or overwhelmed with where to start, this layout is a reminder that you don’t have to overcomplicate it. With a little creativity and the right starting point, your memories will come together beautifully — and fast!
Let’s keep it simple, make it meaningful, and get more pages DONE.
Happy scrapping,
Diane
